Chuck Dallis

Photo of Rockabilly Hall of FameChuck Dallis Rockabilly Hall of Fame Inductee! Image being considered among names like Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent, Rick Nelson, and Bill Haley. If you’re fascinated by the odd mixture of country and rhythm & blues popularized by Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and other performers in the 1950′s, then Chuck Dallis should be added to your list of favorite performers. Chuck lives right here in sleepy St. Petersburg, Fl. and walked into PRO STAR Recording Studios in March with a stack of his 45’s that he wanted transferred to CD. To our surprise, he began to tell us about his experience as a songwriter and performer and the people he worked with, studios he recorded at, and labels he signed with. Who would believe such a legend is living in our back yard. Sadly, he signed with Nat King Cole KC Records 4 months before Nat passed away, and the record label folded, but prior to that unfortunate timing, he recorded at Chess Studios and 3 songs that he recorded sold over 250,000 copies in the states, and his song Moon Twist charted in Europe, which for back in that late 50’s and early 60’s, was pretty incredible.
